West Cork Recruitment are hiring a Production Supervisor for a food production company located in West Cork. This role is Monday-Friday with no weekends or public holidays.
Main Role & Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the production floor and production team leads/operators under the 5
manufacturing pillars – Safety, Quality, People, Output, Cost.
• Required to show appropriate leadership to the team in all situations.
• Responsible for ensuring that all products are produced to specification and food
safety risks are eliminated.
• Responsible for area safety, product quality, efficiencies, yields and output.
• Trouble shooting and problem-solving issues that arise on the floor and ensuring a
safe & clean production workspace.
• Assigning production tasks to team members.
• Ensuring the operators have access to all relevant raw materials and equipment to
maximise efficiencies.
• Ensuring that production downtime is kept to a minimum.
• Monitor production processes to ensure SOPs are adhered to.
• Minimising waste and promoting environmentally friendly habits.
• Ensuring all relevant documentation is completed properly.
• Using an ERP system to capture yields and productivity.
• A degree in Food Science or Business desired, but a discipline within a similar field
would be considered based on relevance.
• 3 years’ experience in a production environment desirable.
• BRC Standards and Customer codes of practice.
• Previous ERP experience is desirable but not essential.
