West Cork Recruitment are delighted to be working with a leading food production company based in Bantry, recruiting for a Senior QA Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Quality Assurance department is properly organized, staffed and trained to
meet and achieve plant and departmental goals.
- Serve as an advocate of our food safety culture.
- Maintain, improve, and develop systems to support the company’s food safety Programs.
- Ensure compliance with Irish and EU and Regulations.
- Responsible for internal audits and assist in corrective actions when necessary.
- Work with Production/Sales/Innovation Departments to manage supplier quality and
compliance.
- Monitor industry and regulatory updates, trends, and news to keep the company informed and
ahead of the curve.
- Be Responsible for implementing and maintaining technical standards across the site.
- Be the lead for the technical function during customer audits and technical visits.
- Explore innovative ways of driving improved performance and motivating the team.

Experience
- Qualification in a scientific/food discipline is preferable.
- 3 years plus Experience in a similar role
- Experience in FMGS and Leading a Team
- Understanding of food processing
- Knowledge of IFS, Organic
- HACCP certified and strong HACCP and regulatory skills;
