West Cork Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Sales Advisor on behalf of a leading hardware/building company based in the Clonakility area.

As Senior Sales Advisor you will be responsible for providing advice and solutions to meet customer needs in the business while providing prompt and professional service to our customers, build trust with customers and represent the company with a positive image. You will be responsible for managing pricing in Hardware and Building and provide support to employees in the Hardware and Building Areas.
This full-time role requires you to collaborate with colleagues, customers and other industry partners to develop and grow the business in your area.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Deal with Customer Service issues in a timely and proactive manner providing an authentic customer experience and technical sales support.
• Build strong relationships with customers in order to understand their requirements and provide technical expertise to deliver the appropriate products.
• Deal promptly with all customer queries and provide advice on products with a continual view to generating sales leads
• Provide accurate and relevant product information to assist customers in buying choices.
• Collaborate with team members, and departments to maximize sales and develop customer relationships.
• Manage supplier pricing with a focus on increasing sales and margin through negotiation with suppliers
• Liaise with suppliers in maintaining efficient stock levels.
• Support the maintenance of shop merchandising, layout and stock levels so as to maximise sales, customer satisfaction, appearance and image.
• Implement advertising and promotional activities as required.
• Manage pricing, costs, returns, special offers, promotions and all other factors affecting the profitable performance of the Hardware/Building Products.
• Control and manage all suppliers of goods under your remit in terms of quality, returns and credits.
• Manage cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies.
• Maintain accurate records of customer engagements and sales activities.
• Liaise with branches to maximize sales and profitability.
• Review and interpret weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance and take appropriate steps to correct below budget performance.
• Support and motivate Hardware and Building Employees to achieve and exceed Sales Targets
• Proactively communicate feedback and insights to management team. Attend meetings and contribute to company strategy and policymaking as required.
• Develop and deliver new business on key category segments, new extensions to existing ranges of products and services offered to suppliers, alternative energy and bioeconomy sector.
• Supporting our customers sustainability agenda by identifying, utilising innovative technologies.
• Support and mentor new team members and students as required.
• Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to company approval.
• Any other duties as required to ensure the success of the role.

Qualifications & Skills Requirement

• Have 3+ years commercial and technical sales experience in a similar role.
• Hold strong business acumen & commercial awareness.
• Be sales target driven with proven past results.
• Ideally have strong IT skills including CRM, Excel, Power Point
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
