Stock Controller

West Cork Recruitment are hiring a stock controller for a busy store based in Clonakilty. This is a full time permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Stock Control
• Investigating and addressing Negative stocks on a daily basis
• Implementing and carrying out cyclical stock count schedule
• Investigating any variances from cyclical counts
• Analysing the weekly stock adjustments
• Maintaining and monitoring Special Orders
• Working with suppliers to ensure pricing is correct and up to date
• Creating new products as needed
• Ensuring all stock is stored in an organised and safe manner to minimise potential damages
• Reducing excess stock & dormant stock in the branch
Purchase Ordering
• Dealing with supplier invoice queries in relation to the Purchase Orders raised for the branch.
• Liaising with agreed suppliers in relation to excess/dormant stocks
• Dealing with stocks for return to supplier
• Ensuring all Goods Inwards processes are followed
• ensuring that any damaged goods are returned to supplier and credits issued by supplier

Skills and Requirements:
Experience in a similar role.
Relevant building materials knowledge an advantage.
Proficient in the use of IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
